As People celebrates the 25th anniversary of the magazine's annual Sexiest Man Alive issue, Broadway.com asked readers to vote for the actor you think is Broadway's own Sexiest Man Alive. The votes are in, and the honorable title (as well as bragging rights!) goes to Wicked hunk Andy Karl. The actor, who currently plays the musical's dashing prince Fiyero, earned 38% of votes for a first place finish. Karl, a former video blogger for Broadway.com, is married to his Saturday Night Fever and Legally Blonde co-star, Tony nominee Orfeh.
Earning the runner-up spot is Promises, Promises' stud Tony Goldwyn, who stars as sleazy boss J.D. Sheldrake. Goldwyn, who gets to romance Tony winner Kristin Chenoweth onstage, pulled in 32% of votes. Promises, Promises marks the Broadway debut for the multi-talented actor, who also directed the current feature film drama Conviction, starring Hilary Swank.
Another former Broadway.com video blogger and Fiyero veteran landed in third place: Next to Normal's Kyle Dean Massey. He received 9% of votes for his turn as Normal's "superboy" son Gabe.
Thanks for voting!
